This was another one of those weddings where I was the assistant. I just LOVE hanging out with brides before the wedding – and when they get ready quick and theres plenty of time to relax and hang out (and drink) it’s so much fun. Kathryn was absolutely the most adorable bride in the world – she was so happy, calm and the cutest thing ever. Although I had never met her, arrived in the middle of her doing her make up, and came in carrying loads of equipment, she ran right up and greeted me with a huge hug. This was one of my favorite weddings ever – it was beautiful and perfect in every way. Here are a few from the beginning of the day. I’m sure I’ll post the second half of the day soon!

About a year ago, I met a great photographer who I absolutely love. Since then, we’ve shot a handful of weddings together. I really enjoy being an assistant at a wedding – there is no pre or post prep work, which makes it easy just to enjoy what I love to do, and actually enjoy the wedding with no stress. It’s a ton of fun! This is Andrew and Annie. They got married on a beautiful day in Vail. A gorgeous couple, a gorgeous ceremony, and a relaxed Holly. What could be better?! I met a LOT of seniors this summer! I love seniors portraits – high schoolers are always so much fun to work with! Here are a bunch from this summer (I still have a few more from early summer coming…).

Outdoor maternity pictures are one of my new favorite things! I just love how relaxed and fun the sessions are. Can’t wait to meet baby who is due in November! Congrats C and J on your upcoming addition!!

Meet Miss A. She was so perfect in every way – brand new and so tiny. We did this session in her home, and it made for such a peaceful and relaxing day – even with the typical newborn bumps that come along the way. It was a wonderful session, and I can’t wait to watch this little one grow up!

When Miss A needed a break, I had fun with her puppy!

I’ve known the C family for quite some time now – one of my oldest, and most favorite clients! I was thrilled to find out they were expecting again – sweet Miss A is so cute, how could they not! When H was born, I was so excited to do his newborn pictures. He was a preemie, so we had to wait a few weeks to get it done, but, he was still so tiny and perfect!

This is sweet Miss S. You may remember her from this post recently. I couldn’t believe when her Mom called me and said it was time for her 9 month session. Time flies! This time, we ventured outdoors and headed to Ralston Valley Park in Arvada. Once again, Miss S was full of adorablness and wonderful, easy to come by smiles. Sessions likes these put me in the best mood! I can’t wait to see her again in the fall for her smash cake session!

Luckily, after some love from Mama and a quick bottle, she was ready to go again.

For me, this is the year of weddings! R & M are only one of the 7 couples I will get to capture walking down the aisle this summer, and I’m so thrilled they all picked me to share their special day with.

Poor R & M had a rough engagement session. We went out to Castlewood Canyons where it was HOT, HOT, HOT! I felt bad for them in their long jeans and black shirts! Then, I dropped R’s shoes into the waterfall when trying to hand them up to him. Luckily, I have such good natured clients, and we just went on our way taking more pictures.  It was a fun session (I always love engagement sessions), but, a combination of the heat and bright sun made us all sigh with relief when the session was over!
