We had a blast on our vacation to Lake Powell this year. Here’s a couple of my favorite pictures

My family and I will be vacationing in Lake Powell from Tuesday August 10th until Sunday, August 15th. I will be unable to respond to phone calls and/or emails during this time. I had so much fun doing a session with Caryn this weekend.  It’s not often that I get to do an entire session with one adult. Caryn was patient enough to let me experiment with a few things, and she was also our first session using the new reflector. Unfortunately, Colorado sun was at it’s absolute best (for portrait photography that is) Saturday morning, so the reflector was of little use. Next time! Thanks again Caryn  – enjoy your shots!

I’ve been very blessed to meet some wonderful kids through my photography in the past few years. I’ve been blessed to watch them change and grow, to find their personalities, and to capture their ever changing expressions. I’m even more blessed to have the kids that I nanny in my life -- to see them on a weekly basis, and be as big of a part in their life as they are in mine. Over the past year, I’ve watched Jaxten grow, and I can’t believe he’s already one.

One of my favorite things is seeing past clients come back to see how their kids grew! I first met The M Family last year, and little PJ was just about the cutest thing in the world! In fact, he’s featured on the header to my website because I thought he was so adorable. Their dog Moose makes me want to come home and wring my dogs necks for not behaving the way Moose does. This family is just the definition of perfect to me – and I was so happy to hear from them again this year, and to learn that there family is about to expand! I loved this shoot, and hope to see The M’s again soon with their new addition.

I have had several requests in the last week for custom made Holiday Greeting Cards! In fact, the demand has been so high, I thought it deserved another post. I do in fact make custom cards. These cards are designed by me, using your thoughts and ideas! We can do actual greeting cards, or, just photo cards. Prices are extremely reasonable. Contact me for more details!

Another one of my Sunday mini sessions was The R Family! Big Brother C and Lil Miss M were so cute, although Big Brother C wasn’t all that interested in participating in the photo session! Bribary is usually all it takes to make a three year old cooperate in some fashion, and we managed to get a few great shots in! Lil Miss M was so cute, with the biggest, brightest eyes I’ve seen. She was an absolute joy. Here’s my sneak peak.

I did several mini sessions on Sunday, and my first of the day was little Miss A. She is 5 months old, and is so adorable. Sunday was a huge day for her as she was getting Baptized and had a huge family party awaiting her arrival after her photo shoot. We did the majority of the session in her absolutely amazing Baptismal dress – it was so gorgeous, and she looked like a perfect angel in it. We finished up with a quick few pictures in her Tootsie Roll and pink ladybug Halloween costumes. She wasn’t in a very smiley mood, but each of her different expressions were priceless.
