One of the things I love about being a photographer who works for myself is that I don’t always have to be paid in cash! I do barters on Craigslist all the time, and one of my favorite barters every year is barting sessions for Broncos tickets as my husband and I are really big fans. I met Mr. I and his parents last weekend, had a great session with a little one who had SO many wonderful expressions, and then the next day, I got to watch the Broncos beat the Steelers. Win-win all around, and I LOVED the shots I got of Mr. I. He was so sweet!

June 8, 2010The G Family!
June 2, 2010I spent Saturday afternoon in Green Valley Ranch. I have never been up there, and what an awesome community it is! I had a session with The G Family. They were so much fun and just awesome to work with. I think my favorite part was just seeing how awesome Big Brother T was with his little sisters. It was so clear that he just adores them. Here’s a few of my favs from the day.
Thanks guys! I hope to see you all again soon!

May 12, 2010Double Sweet!
April 19, 2010I had the immense pleasure of doing a session with Little Miss A and Little Miss R and their family today. The girls are 2 months old, still as tiny (and healthy) as can be, and oh so sweet! Newborns is something I have been focusing on in the past few months, and I was thrilled to be able to take these precious little ones first photos. They each slept gracefully through some shots, and were wide awake and content through others. The perfect mixture for some sweet shots. Big Brother L was not thrilled to be taking part of a photo shoot, however, his sweetness came out and you could tell how much love he has for his new sisters. I wish nothing but the best for the R family and hope to see the five of you soon.

February 22, 2010Recently, I’ve decided to try and focus on newborns. I haven’t had much luck with newborn shoots in the past, but I LOVE working with babies, so, I’m learning new techniques and new ways to approach doing the itty-bittys.
I gave Megan and Julian a free session to help me practice. Megan was convinced little Julian would be totally tuckered out and would be the perfect sleeping baby for me. Julian, of course, had a different idea. He was so cute though that it just didn’t matter. His big blue eyes were amazing, so, perhaps we got lucky that he just wanted to stay awake! Towards the end, you could tell he was really fighting the sleep, and he did close his eyes to give me a shot that I really wanted! Thanks Julian!
