My Second Family

August 2, 2010

I’ve always thought it is much harder to take pictures of kids you know as opposed to kids you are a stranger too. Seeing kids once a year, or even once every few months isn’t a big deal. Seeing kids on a daily basis and then trying to get them to do what you want it definitely more complicated in my eyes. Meet the Monks. They are my second family. I have been their nanny for nearly two years and spend twice a week with their kids. They don’t listen to me on a normal basis, let alone when I’m trying to actually get them to cooperate (I’m mostly kidding, they are good, well-behaved kids!). It was a challenging session for me though, but we had fun and came away with some cute shots. And the kids had a blast climbing on every rock they could find and giving me their cheesiest smiles ever. And to boot, we even found a frog!

Fun in the Sun!

This is one of my favorite families

Over the weekend, I got to meet another part of the gang who was visiting from Texas. What a sweet bunch they all are!

Hope you guys had a great trip to Colorado!

I had the pleasure of meeting The L Family Saturday afternoon. We managed to get in a great session just before the rain hit, and had such a fun time at Meridian Park. I love doing sessions with pets – they always liven things up and provide plenty of laughs. Enjoy!

Sweet Smiles

June 27, 2010

Little Miss K, and Little Mr. Z came back to visit me again on Saturday. They both have such fun personalities. Mr. Z is a bit of a daredevil – we couldn’t keep him away from the water, or the Altoids. Miss K starts out so shy, but by the end of session, we walked back to the car holding hands the entire way. Enjoy their sweet smiles – I sure did!

The G Family!

June 2, 2010

I spent Saturday afternoon in Green Valley Ranch. I have never been up there, and what an awesome community it is! I had a session with The G Family. They were so much fun and just awesome to work with. I think my favorite part was just seeing how awesome Big Brother T was with his little sisters. It was so clear that he just adores them. Here’s a few of my favs from the day.

Thanks guys! I hope to see you all again soon!

May 19, 2010

I was fortunate enough to get to take part of Mom’s Like Me’s 1st anniversary party last weekend. I was really excited about meeting some great families and getting some great shots. We had a perfect day at the park, and the kids had so much fun. I got over 100 awesome shots – but here’s a few of my favs:

Double Sweet!

April 19, 2010

I had the immense pleasure of doing a session with Little Miss A and Little Miss R and their family today. The girls are 2 months old, still as tiny (and healthy) as can be, and oh so sweet! Newborns is something I have been focusing on in the past few months, and I was thrilled to be able to take these precious little ones first photos. They each slept gracefully through some shots, and were wide awake and content through others. The perfect mixture for some sweet shots. Big Brother L was not thrilled to be taking part of a photo shoot, however, his sweetness came out and you could tell how much love he has for his new sisters. I wish nothing but the best for the R family and hope to see the five of you soon.

T-Man

February 28, 2010

Meet T-Man! I’ve known T-Man since he was a baby as his Mom works with my husband. I was lucky enough to be able to take his 2-year pictures. He was probably the most well behaved, cooperative two-year old I’ve seen. The shoot was tons of fun, and I love the shots we got out of it.

The P Family

December 7, 2009

Another family coming back to see me was The P Family! I just LOVE seeing old clients again. Little Miss A and Little Miss K were just as cute as ever in their adorable holiday dresses, and this time, they brought along a new family member, Zero the Rottie puppy! Zero reminded me of my Rottie growing up, Gypsy. Little Miss A was a perfect angel, but Little Miss K had ideas that involved not getting her picture taken! Luckily, we were able to trick her into some great shots. I even had a hard time choosing shots of her because she is SO expressive. What a beautiful family.
